Permanent Makeup (PMU)

Permanent makeup is a cosmetic technique that employs pigmentation of the epidermis using either a digital or manual technique to produce designs to enhance your facial features or replicate makeup. Treatments can be applied to eyebrows, eyes and lips. Most clients who gravitate towards this procedure are those who are: interested in looking better, allergic to cosmetics, active in sports, have health conditions and/or are interested in saving time. PMU should only be used to cover those basic needs, anything more intense can be additionally applied with makeup for special occasions. With time, the permanent makeup will begin to fade and a color boost is required to make it look refreshed. In the past couple years, PMU has become a very common & trending procedure that clients are gravitating towards to enhance their look. The results can vary anywhere from soft, natural & subtle to a little more exaggerated, bold & beautiful.

Services

PMU Consultation
We offer a complimentary 20-30 min consultation for all clients interested in getting Permanent Makeup procedures. This appointment will allow you to discuss you wants, needs and desires with the specialist and answer any questions you may have. During this session, we also perform a quick patch test that makes sure you are a good candidate for PMU and you are not allergic to either the pigment/numbing or both; Safety is our top priority.

Eyebrows

Microbladed Brows
This type of procedure is a form of manual application of pigment into the epidermis layer of the skin. This is the most natural option for someone who don’t wear a ton of make-up on a regular basis or has a lot of brow hair but needs to fill in gaps & define their overall brow shape. Prior to procedure, the outline of the brows is drawn according to your specific facial features and then filled in with hair like strokes to give the brows a fuller look & defined shape. Some clients need to add shading to certain areas to fill in gaps where hair is missing and that will help give the brow a fuller appearance. We will do this with a manual tool and create a water color background that will sit behind the strokes to give the illusion of density in those areas. This procedure can last anywhere between 12-18 months & in some cases 24 months before it would require a Color Boost. The result is very natural, subtle and realistic!

Microbladed Man Brows
Men who, like women, can experience lack of density throughout the whole or part of their brows and are unhappy with their overall appearance have options tailored to them with microblading. This type of service is the most natural option for men who are looking to get brows that looks more dense, full & bushy. Since men aren’t used to cosmetic enhancements and usually prefer a very low maintenance routine, filling in their brows with hair strokes can help them achieved the desired fullness without looking like they had anything done. The achievable discretion is allowing more men to revert to this service and feel comfortable & confident in the healed results that maintains their masculine features.

This type of procedure is a form of manual application of pigment into the epidermis layer of the skin. The chosen color is one that blends seamlessly with the natural brow hairs. When it comes to men’s brows, the goal is not perfection, it’s more of a full, wild & fluffy manly finish. This procedure can last anywhere between 12-18 months & in some cases 24 months before it would require a Color Boost to refresh the faded color. The goal is not perfection, result is very natural, subtle and realistic!

Combo Brows
This procedure is a combination of microblading and machine shading. This procedure is for any client that has medium to no brow hairs. The shading adds dimension to the brow that blends the whole brow to create a seamless visual transition between the areas with hair & the areas without hair. The intensity of the shading is determined by the client’s desired end result (shading options vary from natural to bold). Depending on the client’s brows, the specialist will discuss her recommendations with you & share your options are to achieve the final look you are going for. Depending on the amount of shading done, this procedure can last anywhere between 1.5-2 Yrs before it would require a Color Boost. This is one of the most popular, trending services that most of our clients are gravitating towards!

Soft Powder Brow
This method is done with a digital machine and is more of a soft makeup, filled in appearance (with no microbladed strokes). This technique creates eyebrows that are softer at the fronts and gradually darken toward the tails. This technique is great for clients who are used to filling in their eyebrows with makeup pencil or powder.  It’s a great option for clients who have little to no hair, have uneven density within their brow shape or prefer the appearance of a penciled in eyebrow. The soft fill will give the appearance of more full, dense eyebrows. This procedure can last anywhere from 2-3 years. The result is a very soft, pixelated and natural eyebrow that can easily be mistaken for makeup; it’s gorgeous!

Ombré Powder Brow
This method is also done with a digital machine and is more of a makeup/denser, filled in appearance that is more intense than the previous service options (also with no microbladed strokes). This technique creates eyebrows with softer heads that gradually darken toward mid-brow and tails creating the ombré effect. Clients who gravitate towards this service are individuals trying to achieve a much denser/make-up like appearance, are used to wearing a bold brow, have oily skin, have little to no hair, and/or correcting previous tattoo work done elsewhere. This procedure can last anywhere from 2-3 years and would need a Color Boost to refresh the color & shape. The results look very defined, bold and beautiful!

Eyeliner

Lash Line Enhancement Eyeliner
As the name suggests, this type of eyeliner is a liner that only goes through your lash lines. The result is a soft, subtle & natural eyeliner that make your lashes appear thicker & darker day in and out. This procedure can last anywhere between 3-5 years (*fading for every client varies and depends on factors such as skin type, skin care, maturity and exposure). With this procedure, you are able to add makeup to intensify your look and be ready for any special occasion.

Classic/Shaded Eyeliner
This eyeliner is your typical/traditional eyeliner. The classic eyeliner is one where it is dense throughout like one drawn with a gel pen. The shaded eyeliner is where the eyeliner has a gentle dispersed contour or a defined line that is completed with a slight shaded, smudged finish that results in a smokey appearance (like one achieved with eye shadow). This procedure can last anywhere between 3-5 years (*fading for every client varies and depends on factors such as skin type, skin care, maturity and exposure). Which ever option you desire, this procedure will allow you to never have to draw your perfect liner again!

Lips

Lip Blush/Ombré Lips (lip line & fill)
One of the newest techniques for creating a soft blush of color to your lips that is sheer (nothing like the “lipstick” look of past years). This procedure is designed to define lips (shape & color), not to create volume or puffiness. This technique involves creating a very soft and subtle outline of your lips with a lip color that best suits your skin coloring and desired look. This soft line is then blended and shaded when filling in your lips with the pigment. By doing this, we are avoiding the “lined lip” look, and therefore creating the illusion of fuller, natural looking lips. Lip tattoos are meant to enhance lips, not create actual fullness. Think of it as a lip blush that stays on and will keep you looking your best no matter what the occasion is! The color is light enough giving you the option to apply lipstick color on top either to intensify your look for any occasion or if you just want a change of color. This procedure can last anywhere between 3-5 years (*fading for every client varies and depends on factors such as skin type, skin care, maturity and exposure). Your lips will have a fresh, healthier appearance; the outcome is natural and gorgeous!

Dark Lip Neutralization
Clients with darker pigmented lips typically Fitzpatrick 4-6 may need Neutralization; which is the process of using color theory to lighten and brighten the dark lip tissue. Clients with darker pigmented lips will have lip colors that are usually tones & shades of brown, purple, blue or a mix of these colors. This process can take anywhere between 2-4 sessions, depending on the desired end result. The new brighter & more vibrant color can last anywhere from 1-3 years. Clients are extremely pleased by the final, beautiful color that can be achieved with this treatment!

All PMU Service Follow-ups

Touch Up (6-8 wks after initial procedure for all PMU services)
This procedure is usually done 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure to perfect the result and saturate the pigment for best durability. It is crucial to have this appointment because we can’t guarantee how the skin will take the pigment and this is our chance to make sure it looks finished. We refer to this appointment as the ‘perfecting’ one because during this time we can make any adjustments to the shape, size and color as desired so you can enjoy your new brows, liner and/or lips!

Color Boost (*more details per specific procedure can be found with price list)
This procedure is for clients who have had previous work done by me and would like to come in for their color boost to perfect their brow shape & color. This procedure is usually a one time appointment that should then allow them to enjoy their brows for the duration of color retention (*fading for every client varies and depends on factors such as skin type, skin care, maturity and sun exposure). Should you need an additional pass, it is recommended to be scheduled 6-8 after initial color boost appointment.
